  • Tax Account Transcripts or Tax Return Transcripts i-751?

    Hi All,

A while ago me and my spouse amended with a 1040x our 2014 tax return as they showed different addresses (employer error on w-2 and negligence on my part)

I know that if I order the Tax Return Transcripts these changes wont be present (is that right?) but if I order the Tax Account Transcripts then the updates will be published.

So my question (if I am right in what the return and account transcripts show) is, can I order and send Tax Account Transcripts with my i-751 instead of Tax Return Transcript?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Many thanks,

My thinking is, if I send the Tax Account transcripts there will be no sign of the address change or that it was ever amended?

whereas the Return Transcript will still show the wrong addresses?

hope that clarifies it a little better

It is always good to send to USCIS enough evidence so as to avoid RFE. I will advice you send them both, let them make use of what they want. sending the wrong tax document is one of the major cause of RFE.

        Thanks for your response.

But would just the Tax Account Transcripts be enough? without the Return Transcripts?

Our first year of marriage (my first time filing) was naively submitted and we have had to since make a lot of amendments to that year (2014) (Biggest amendment was that our addresses we different! however, we were living together and I have other evidence proving that)

        (2015) is fine.

However, I feel there will be too many eyebrows raised if I request my 2014 return transcript with all of its discrepancies as it won't showcase the amendments. If I have to send it, how can I over come this.

        Please Help
