  • Had interview mid January 2015, still waiting!

The wife and I finally contacted congress so they looked into it. A few weeks later we had two agents come to our home to question us. They were very nice, told us we have nothing to worry about and left within 45 minutes. That was months ago. What else can we do? Infopaas gave us no info at all.

Same here, January 7th was our interview and no updates have been made to our case. Its just a waiting game at this point. I was told my processing center is now caught up to July 31st applicants, which means we are only a month off. However, Im not sure how quickly they will make it through a months worth of apps or how the process works there.

I havent set up an info pass or contacted congress yet, Im assuming we shouldnt be waiting too much longer. We applied in Chicago, howabout you?

San Francisco here. Crazy that the wait times can be this long. How did you find out the wait times at the processing center?

I called USCIS and spoke to a representative who checked and told me they updated my locations processing date. You can check online, but they only update that on a monthly basis as im told. I thought for sure we wouldve had our GC much sooner as our interview went well and ended with the officer saying she will work on it that day, however several months pass and no updates have been made. This is pretty common from what I have seen though, some people get approved on the spot while others wait nearly 6 months sometimes for the GC to go into production. Stay patient, if youve gone this long without any RFE or any other hiccups Im sure its right around the corner!

I am from Chicago and I had an interview January2015 too. I am still waiting, at interview IO was satisfied with our interview (went with my kid and wife and attorney) and told us they don't need any more documents and will give us decision in 120 days. Since then I am checking every 45 days with immigration thru phone and went in infopass twice. No response and last month in march received notice for second Finger print and medical. according to lawyer it is required after 15 months of pending case but at the same time I m hoping that they are working on my case. What I should expect ? did you guys had any experience like this or know anyone who had experience like this. No agent came to the house for any checking.

Find your local senator and email him or her. They have people on staff that work specifically for stuff like this. They will give you a form to fill out so they can get your case number and everything. It's a very simple process.

You received a request for a 2nd fingerprint and medical? I sure hope they dont pull that crap with me. By my guess, I should have some update within a months time considering the information I was given on the processing dates. However, I wont hold my breath. Me and my wife leave for the Dominican Republic in May and we were hoping for her GC by then, but she has her AP and I guess we will hope for the best.
