AOS interview

Me and my wife went to our immigration appointment today. I thought everything went well, but at the end wasn't given approval. We were given notice that "uscis is unable to complete your case at this time". No selection was marked on the reasons for continuance. The IO told us we would receive a decision by mail. My wife had travel planned with her advance parol. The IO said she should be safe traveling with that. Has anyone been through anything like this?

Its a hit or a miss when it comes to approvals on the spot. Some people get them while others wait extended periods of time to receive any updates after the interview process, doesnt necessarily mean any problems though either. The AP generally serves as its intended purpose, allowing those who were granted one, entry back into the U.S while an AOS is pending. She should be fine as the IO mentioned, but definitely travel at your own risk.
