  • Is anyone else waiting for the decision months after the interview?

We filed our case in April 2015, and we went to the New York field office for the interview on 12-3-2015. The interview went well. The officer asked only a few questions and then told us we can expect to receive the green card within 3 months. But we are still waiting. I got a request for evidence several weeks ago, because my medical report was outdated when they were reviewing my file in March. My husband and I were very frustrated about that, because I had the first medical exam in late February 2015. The report was totally fine when it was submitted. If they did not review the case so late, it wouldn't be outdated. But anyway, I went to a doctor and got another exam and got some vaccines again since they are only good for one year.

I resubmitted the medical report two weeks ago. But there is still no update about the case on the website. It still says the "interview is scheduled". And I also haven't received any notice from them that they have received the exam report (though, mu husband personally delivered it to the office to save time).

I don't know if I should be concerned. I submitted an inquiry about the case over two weeks ago, and I still haven't heard back. Appointments for infopass was never available. I don't know what to do at this point and any advice and experience sharing would be appreciated.

p.s. Another thing is about my work permit. My EAD expires on June-15. Does anyone know if I can still work legally if I still don't receive my green card at that time? And what should I do to make sure I can work legally?
