    Hello everyone.

My mother-in-law just started working at Walmart two weeks ago and we asked her to be our co-sponsor. She made around 40k last year on her previous job so she fit poverty guidelines. But someone told her she can't be a co-sponsor because she needs to be employed for a year at this new job. Is that true? Are they going to reject our application?

And my second question, same form (I-864). What is current individual annual income in this situation?

    Thank you.

No they won't deny your application but she needs to fill her own I-864 and she don't need to be at her job for a year so she's absolutely a good co sponsor for you good luck

There is no such rule. As long as she's a US Citizen or GC holder, she should be fine being a co-sponsor.
