We received and RFE for our AOS and need help...

At the time we filed for the AOS, I only had my 2012, 2013 and 2014 tax returns. I had to file with my ex and it showed our 3 children (now ages 19, 21, and 24 in May). The oldest is no longer a dependent of anyone and my two younger children are supported by my ex. We received an RFE stating that my income is too low for a household of 5. That was 2014, I now have a household of 2 and meet the 125% income requirements. Can I send my new 2015 tax return along with a letter explaining that I no longer have dependents?? Please advise as we are so worried.
