  • I-797 question

    Hi, We got 3 emails(guessing one for each form) saying "Your case has been accepted and routed to the USCIS". does that mean everything in our AOS package was correct? We did it without a lawyer.

    Yes so far so good, depends which forms you submitted as most have 4 forms, I-130,I-485,I-765 & I-131.

    Please note that it's only a cursory check on your submission such as completion of forms, signatures on all required pages, the correct fees etc.

    They will go into more detail later as they look through all of your evidence and possibly then you may have a RFE (Request For Evidence) if they need further information or clarification. Hopefully not though!

      Thanks for your answer.I did not send I-131, not planning to go out of The US until I have my green card , and then will only be out for probably just 2 weeks. will i need form I131 even when i get my green card?

        Once you have your green card you do not need AP to travel in and out of the United State . I wish you the best.
