Hi, Ive been reading the post on here and they seem pretty helpful so I'm gonna go ahead and post my progress and results on here too.

I had my paper work done my hermandad mexicana in Los Angeles (a community immigration help center Not free btw).

Used certified mail with Return receipt (prove of acceptance)

Forms Submitted, i485, i310, i765 & G1145 (Txt-email updates)

About my case:
I am out of status now but had been part of a family petition back in 1995 (step dad was the USC)
That case was abandoned since my parents separated the year of the appointment for the green card. So my case was denied back then I was 10y old.
I have applied with an I94 permit via my wife(USC) we have 2 kids 11y & 9y old. Met my wife in 02, moved in together in 05 and married in 2012. I have an A # and SSN from the first case & I'm not sure if the fact that I've been through this whole process as a kid and already have some documentation would speed things up, but Ill post any updates for sure!

The main concerns in my case are im not included in last years taxes or any taxes of my wifes. I have a SSN but she called the IRS and they said I could not be added as a depended and she could not filled jointly because I am unemployed. Anyway this is the only concern in my case so far. I would love any feedback on this if anyone knows THANK YOU FOR READING!

About Biomatrics: My appointment was at a support application center located in Carson, CA.
There was little parking and they did not see you earlier than your scheduled appointment.
I was scheduled at 11am, there was 20 others waiting.
They asked us to make a line outside the building and they allowed us in no earlier than exactly 11am.
They ask you for your schedule NOA form and Identification, some used their Green cards, passports, State ID or Counselor card.
From start to finish it took about one hour and twenty minutes.
They were very strict on cellphones! While I was waiting some Asian guys phone goes off and the whole building basically looked over at him like wtf! He did not silence the phone rather he got up and headed towards the door, Im guessing to answer this critical phone call. As he left a USCIS employee said to him, "leave the phone in your car when you come back SR". He gave a bit of a yea yea sure knot with his head while he left. It felt like he was playing this, im foreign you can't blame me type oh me sorry very much.
Some time pass by and while I was telling the story I heard in Rob Dykes utube channel of the very strange to my wife who had accompanied me that day, we noticed the man coming back, as he opened the door he met the employee who had asked him to leave his phone. He moved his head as he understood but did not just leave, they exchanged some words, the employee saying "no phones". He suddenly turns around and what looks like another hard headed foreigner, he turns out to be just another idiot. He left, he did not come back while I was there at least. Being that they don't allow you to be in there before your appointment, you have to wonder.. did this guy blow of the USCIS app because of his damn phone? Anyway, thanx for reading.

Urgent information request

Hello everyone,

I have submitted an application for I485 on May 11, 2016. It has been 13 days since we submitted our application and we have not yet received a receipt notice. My current visa status is H1 which is valid for the next three years and my spouse has an H4 valid till 2019.

My wife has to urgently travel out of United States for two weeks due to family emergency abroad. Since we have not received a receipt notice for our I485 and the fees checks have not been cashed yet. Would my wife be able to travel on her existing H4 visa? or does she definitely have to wait till we have the receipt notice from USCIS? I know that people who do not have a valid visa must have an advanced parole to travel outside of the USA but at this point we do not require to have an advanced parole as we already have a valid visa.

I have heard that her application would be abandoned if she left the USA without having a receipt notice from USCIS? However, we know that the package was delivered to the Lockbox facility on May 11, 2016 and has been signed for. Please you comments would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much.

As of know we havent heard anything yet on interview appointment. Is anyone else going thru this delay?
I checked on the processing times for my office and it was last updated 5/12/16 and they should be working on 11/14/15. I am the petitioner and my husband is the applicant but he is getting frustrated with all this delay is anyone else experiencing the same situation?

Expedite requested. April filler.

I called on the 18th of July to ask for an update on my Form I765 EAD.. I got a response on the 20th saying..

The status of this service request is:

We received your request to expedite the decision on your application. Your case is currently under review. You will receive a decision or notice of further action shortly.

My timeline was Priority date April 25, 2016.

Its been 85 days and no update on the website or letter. All I got was the Response to my inquiry about my EAD.

Is anyone else panicking like me?

Social Security Card

I received NOA I-797. Letter of EAD Approved. So I called The SS Administration to see if I could request a SSC with this notice. They said Yes. However when I went over, they told me no. They need the actual Work permit to give me a SSC. (BTW) I had a SSC before, but its the same as applying for a new one.

Anyone know how long interviews are taking to be scheduled?

Anyone know how long interviews are taking to be scheduled in LA? In the Valley here... been looking around and it seems quite sporadic, ranging from a date set within 1 month of getting the notice once it is being scheduled.... to 6+ months. Why the crazy difference?

We just got a notice 2 days ago that ours is in the process of being scheduled and I am wondering how long to expect to wait.

Also, we are at the 88 day mark for no response on the I-785 EAD. I just submitted a request to check on it and it says not to expect a reply for 20 days. Is everything just backed up in LA?

Have you received your card yet?

No not yet, but The online status changed to "On July 29, 2016, we mailed your new card". So maybe this week it will arrive. USCIS said over the phone that they provie a Tracking number with the card but I dont see anything online regarding that so... I might call on Monday to ask for a tracking #.
