Previous file of i-130 without concurrent i-485.

My son and I are Canadian my husband is American, and have been in the US since Dec 2012. We filed for the i-130 in 2013, due to other reasons we didn't file any paperwork since. We went to a lawyer yesterday who said that we need to unwind our case because at this point we're not supposed to even be here. We need to file the i-130 and the i-485 concurrently. How does one go about revoking the previously submitted i-130?
