Hi everyone I'm new here so I apologise if I've posted this in the wrong place!
I have two questions so hope someone can offer some advice or encouragement!
First question, So I came here on VWP in September 2015 and was due to return home to Ireland in December 2015, the company I worked for went bust whilst I was here so I was laid off. This meant I wouldn't have any job etc when I went home, huge shock! So anyway I was visiting my then partner as he had just recently been discharged from the military after 8 years. We ended up getting married sooner than planned (few months only really) and eloped just the two of us due to finances. Filed for AOS in December, have my EAD and just got a letter on Saturday with an interview appointment for June 13th, unfortunately my husband will be out of state for two weeks during this time as he is in the National Guard and has annual training during that time. The letter said if we cannot keep the appointment then send the letter back to OKC with an explanation.
Today we sent back the letter, a letter from us explaining the situation and apologizing and asking if we could get rescheduled, a copy of his national guard schedule, copy of his military ID and copy of his National Guard contract. We got overnight shipping and should be there tomorrow. The schedule we sent is just a print out of the email they are sent with their yearly schedule and hasn't got his name on it but has a signature on it, which is why we sent proof of his National Guard service (ID and contract) But I am freaking out that this isn't enough, I feel so demanding asking to reschedule and am afraid my application will be denied now! But I don't have a license and he can't get out of it either, Oklahoma City is too far for me to get someone else to drive me also, I feel so worried and stressed about it all especially as we consider ourselves very lucky to have gotten an interview in 6/7 months!
Do you think this is a valid reason for rescheduling or will they straight up deny the request?
Next question!
Also when we filed he was receiving unemployment insurance, National Guard check (weekend monthly drill only) and VA disability, he now has a full time job instead of unemployment insurance, we are living with his mother and had her on the form as a household member which meant we met the income requirement. We still live here and have a household of 3, so my question is do I just fill the I-864 again to bring when we actually go for our interview with his new information and should this be okay?
I am so sorry that this is so long and so many questions but I greatly appreciate any help or words of encouragement!
