F2A (spouse of Permanent Resident) has current Priority Date being processed of December 22, 2014, another year or so before the petition of Original Poster is current. I'm not sure what chart you are reading that reads any different than what I just quoted from the October 2016 Visa Bulletin.

The Visa Bulletin shows an overall average of 7 years for F1 visa class (from Priority Date).

The 2 charts are confusing a lot of people. Priority dates up to november 22nd 2015 should be accepted for AOS. Is your wife/husband a LPR or USC? Also did you overstay? I am in the same situation.
I haven't overstayed, I am on OPT right now. So I have legal status for approximately 1 year. My wife is lawful permanent resident
