I am filing for adjustment of status for my mother. Her I130 was approved, but I received an RFE for her I-485 application since her name in birth certificate and passport dont match.
Here is the situation:
Name on birth certificate: YYYY YYY
Name on marriage certificate: YYYY YYY married to AAA BBB
Name on passport and all USCIS documents: ZZZ*** BBB
So, last name has changed after marriage and that one i can show link based on marriage certificate. However bigger problem is the first name that is modified version of first name at birth. I dont think at the time of marriage 50 years ago and formal name change procedure was done. All her papers after marriage seem to have the name in passport. What is the document I can produce that establishes the link between the birth certificate and passport? Unfortunately, my mom is not in cognitive capacity at this time to tell me how/when name was changed and I am trying to understand what document i can product from authorities in India or some kind of Affidavit from her here in US that will help establish the link.
