Missed appointment by a month and half (I485-765)

Hello,

I am a H1, and I applied recently for a work authorization (I765) for my wife (H4) and me. We have also applied to the green card (I485). I received a bunch of forms that I overlooked two months ago (since it was written that they did not grant any status or benefit...). On these forms there was actually a biometric appointment for both of us (and also for our children (I485)). I feel completely stupid to have missed it , but is there a chance that we could take our biometrics next week? My wife is having a job offer on hand and she needs a work authorization as soon as possible. I checked on the USCIS website, and her case is still active apparently.

What should we do? restart a new procedure or try to obtain an appointment?

I also received my work authorization card in the mail (while failing to attend this appointment), so is this appointment necessary for the i765 form?

i suggest you contact an experienced immigration lawyer asap, your case can be denied due to failure to attend biometric.
