  • Approved But Now "Case Under Review"???????????????????????????????????

    Hi there people...

    I am rather pretty confused right now. 33 Days ago I got approved for my Form I-765, even got an e-mail from the USCIS telling me so. In the e-mail it says "if you do not get your receipt/card in the mail within 30 days of this notice please contact us........." Well, I haven't received my EAR card yet so about 3 days ago I put an inquiry on my case on uscis.gov - I just got another e-mail from them with a response, it says:

    "The status of this service request is:

    Your case is currently under review. You should receive a decision or notice of other action shortly."

    Wth does that mean?!?!?!??!?!?!? I'm guessing it's nothing bad, because they ALREADY approved my Employment Authorization Document. What could it be then??....... Anyone know? Please share!

    Thank you all for your time.

    Most times when you submit a case inquiring USCIS sent such messages just to notify you of the receipt of your case inquiring. I do not think you should be disturbed about the message. May be you can call the customer care and ask to speak to level 2 IO to find out if your card was mailed to you when it was approved, and possibly get a tracking number if it was mailed.

      Hey Jollygraces;

      Thanks for the reply. Yeah... I did talk to an L2 Immigration Officer, but all he said was "don't worry, everything is fine. They had a hold on your case mid of April... anyway, you should be getting your approval receipt in mail soon" - He sounded like he was 100 years old!

      But as you can tell, he didn't mention EAD card or anything of the sort. He told me to wait for the receipt...

      Idk how long the USCIS takes to take an action on one's case after they say the word "shortly"... this is ridiculous! I've heard of people getting their S*** a week after their approval! I filed in Missouri so maybe it's a "State" thing.. who knows.. I'm about to climb walls out of frustration.
