delay with issue the Green Card after interview and approval notice

hey guys,
i'm from New York and on the 3th of May 2016 we had interview for adjustment of status based on the same sex marriage
Interview went very well and on the 9th May I received approval notice i-797
'welcome to the united states of America.."
I suppose the get my green card in 3weeks and it is already 6 weeks and nothing.
I called several times for hot line and always the same answer - processing time is take up to 8 weeks.
The representative said everything is fine but I have to wait up to 60 days.
Do you know if there is any delay in issue the green cards?
I'm very worry and I'm not sure if I suppose to just wait or involve somehow the lawyer ?
Is there anyone who has interview at the same time?

I would wait for at least 5 months because you don't really need the green card as yet because u have the work permit for a year to work and travel. u got approval notice so everything is ok...

Don't involve a lawyer, i hired a lawyer to help with the application i basically wasted $2000, trust me just wait!

omg! so u did interview before getting the work permit? what kind of questions did they ask??...im assuming same sex marriage goes through the same process like opposite sex marriage.

My wife and I interviewed on May 13th, recieved approval message online same day and the offical notices the Monday or Tuesday after. It said to call after 3 weeks which we did and they said "it hasnt been sent for processing yet, wait until its been 30 days and call back". Now we are approaching that mark as well and still no change. She has to verify employment by july 1st, is EAD use still allowed until green card is recieved? Or does she have to set up infopass and get a stamp?

yes that is why they gave us work permit card for a year so we don't rush them. if the work permit is about to expire n still no green card then ill panic

Hi Gabriel. I am here in Sacramento, California on same sex marriage too.
We just had our interview yesterday and looks like everything went well. They did not ask too much mostly about our the details mentioned on our application. The officer handed us a letter saying that my case is held for review.
We wanted to change the mailing address due to some reason, do u think we should inform them now or wait till the status on line has been changed?
