Cannot produce birth certificate....need advise

I am filing for AOS and my spouse does not have her birth certificate. What do we need to do? According to the 8 CFR 103.2(b)(11) we have to submit an affidavit and secondary document....my question is whether or not her passport will be sufficient. Also, how do we prepare and affidavit? If anyone has done this before, I would greatly appreciate your advise. Thank you

passport should be ok, because you cannot get a passport unless u r a citizen of that country. but u can call immigration to be sure
