I-130 while Asylum pending & requesting master calendar hearing sooner than scheduled
The situation:
USC filed for I-130 for spouse who is present in USA. Spouse had submitted asylum application which was pending (no individual hearing prior to I-130 being submitted). We received receipt for I-130 and thought we would have an interview after several months. Also, new master calendar hearing for spouse who had submitted asylum application was given for early 2017 due to venue change.
Now, USCIS local office said that I-130 interview will be scheduled only 2-3 months prior to EOIR master calendar asylum interview (scheduled for early 2017). We would like to see if EOIR would move up the master calendar hearing earlier than early 2017 so we can get things moving along. We're attempting to move things along and not waste another 6 months.
The question is, has anyone successfully requested and received a sooner date for an EOIR asylum master calendar hearing based on USCIS policy/wanting to get an interview with USCIS sooner?
