How long does it take to receive confirmation once the i-485 package is mailed out..?

Me and my (American) wife sent out our i-485/i-130 package on the 25th, and got confirmation from USPS that it arrived in Chicago on the 27th. We haven't heard a peep out of USCIS since then: 16 days and counting.

I have no idea if this is typical or not. I'm getting a bit worried, though :s

How long does it generally take for USCIS to get back to you about your case?

It depends on whether you included form G-1145 with your package submittal. That form would have facilitated an email/text confirmation with a receipt number about 15 days after USCIS receipt. Other than that, it sometimes takes about 4 weeks before you get a hardcopy receipt Notice of Action in the mail.

check with the bank if they have withdrawal the money, if they did then everything is ok
