I-864 income requirement which years?

Please help me answer this question.
My husband is a US citizen, we recently got married and I'm applying for green card.
Because we are recently graduated students, we were working part time before. And because I don't have work authorization last year, I did't file tax return. So don't know if the i864 income requirement-poverty guideline is for last year only, or all three years must meet? Do we still need a sponsor? How much should the sponsor earn? Is it for all three years too?
Husband:
2016 estimate(paystub as proof): $30000
2015: $36118
2014: $7353
2013: $12023
I:
2016: will have some only after I receive EAD card.
2015: $0
2014: $10604
2013: $17569

The most recent one is the more important and the one required. the 2 previous year are optional, but most people send 2013, 2014 and 2015. If you do not send 2015 they will RFE you for that and that will slower your case.

DONT submit YOUR income tax becuz USCIS don't care!!!! trust me i learnt it the hard way!! do u have pay stub for the past 6 months for 2016? is it only u two? no kids? i will get a joint sponsor just in case. his income is above the poverty for 2016 and 2015, i don't know if they will use 2014 and 2013 against u.
