Meaning of 'Processing cases as of'

Looking at this table:

I look at I-485, processing cases as of November 2, 2015. Does that mean the priority date is 2 November, or that's when I-485 was filed?

They process cases as they receive them, but the current processing dates reflect the date range that theyre currently working on. For example I filed in August 2015, they have already passed my date but I am still waiting, so this date is irrelevant to my situation. When I called I was told that sometimes they can take longer even though they show the processing date has surpassed my application date. Ill be going on 1 year since we filed at the end of August. God forbid the wait continues.
