  • working while interview pending.

    I did have an Ead many years ago and I applied for work. Ead expired but I stayed at the same job. Now married to US citizen and I 485 interview is coming and i still did not get my Ead. just wondering if anyone has any experiences like this?

    u cannot let USCIS know that u working without authorization because u will be on the list for deportation.

      even if I came legally? was just reading on other forum they forgive you for working ilegally as long as you marry US citizen.. anyways still confused.

        i highly doubt it....the fact is that u r work permit expired and u r still working without authorization.

        maybe i should consult a lawyer, but that is what i was told

          talked to a lawyer tonight. He said they forgive that as long as you came legally and married a US citizen.

            please don't show USCIS any proof that u were working illegal. i think the lawyer meant that ur status is legal in america. but u r not legally authorize to work.

            it is strictly up to u. uscis don't forgive anything!!!

              USCIS give people 180 days to work without work permit, but it only for people who applied for extension for work permit through their employee or who applied for H1b visa
