  • When should I receive my EAD?

Hey guys here's my timeline from Atlanta

    Application sent: 4/20/2016
    Receipt: 05/02/2016
    Fingerprint Notice: 05/12/2016
    Fingerprint Appointment: 05/27/2016

My case status changes to as of June 1 they're ready to schedule an interview for my I-485 form. I'm hoping I get my EAD this week or soon can anyone with a similar timeline update me if they've gotten their EAD or not. The waiting game sucks

almost same timeline here. probably next week your case status will change to interview schedule for a specific day. I had my fingerprints done 5/27/16 and now I will have my interview this month but no sign of Ead at all.

Same timeline here. It's been over 90 days since application of EAD and AP has been sent. Submitted service request today. Customer service guy said it's currently 75 days for EAD and 90 for AP at most service centers. Good luck.

I don't know what's happening with Immigration, but I've noticed that lots of people applying for green card as well as I-131 and I-765(EAD) the EAD is not coming in time for most, and the only reason that I could think of, is because once we get the green card, the EAD is needless, and Immigration is funded almost completely by application fees, and when applying for EAD at the same time as the green card, there is no fee require, so basically they would give you the EAD for "free". I think they try to hold it off, and maybe our local Immigration office will give us interviews or approve our I-485 case before the 90 days for the EAD are up, that way they don't spend money on making the EAD. Maybe it's not it at all, it's just a thought. Anyways...
They received my application Apri 05, 2016, did my Bio already in May, and my case is ready to be schedule for an interview since May 23rd (which I haven't received yet) It has been 92 days in total, and still no EAD, the status hasn't change since they posted it: "On April 5, 2016, we received your Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization , Receipt Number MSC16908xxxxx, and sent you the receipt notice that describes how we will process your case...."
If you haven't, I advise you to give them a call, after 75 days of your EAD being pending, you can inquire about it(as per their website) your 75 days were up 2 days ago, so your good. This might help you speed it up.
Every case is different, not saying what's happened to me, will happen to you, just sharing my story and maybe help preventing this to happen to others.
            Best of luck.

Illinois. Case got sent to NBC (MSC). Not sure if there is a direct connection between EAD production and the green card. According to the website most field offices are currently processing 485s that were pending for 6 months or more. Some are even further behind. The EAD is usually issued by a service center, while adjustment interviews are handled by a local field office. Anyways, definitely call and ask for a service request as soon as you hit the 75-day mark.

The next one should say "case approved" and then a few days later "card mailed". I actually got the notification in the mail before they changed the status online. EAD and AP should arrive any day now (took somewhere around 97 days).

I just have a quick question.
How do you count those days? Are you including weekends or just week days? I want to make sure before I start panicking.
                    Thank you

The day after your "Case Received" date is your starting date. Weekends count as well. Seems like they are currently taking somewhere around 90 days, maybe more. No need to panic. It'll come.

It's 90 days (or a little more) from the day you submitted your application (April 5 in your case).
