NABC vs Affidavit of support for parents birth certificate

I am in process of filling application for my parents green card.
They don't have birth certificates and are not in a position to get Non availability of birth certificates from home town due to medical conditions.
Can i just get affidavit of birth from two relatives for both of them? Will that be sufficient secondary evidence.

Hi, I am in the same situation. Wondering if you happen to apply and what was the result or how did you address it. Would anyone know if I can apply with just two affidavits (from his/her parents).
Getting NABC is not an easy foot, esp given my parents age (aged 70). Wondering what options we have. They were born well before 1970 though. Would that ease the scrutiny? Thanks for sharing your experience.
