newark i485 pending after IO interview
Hello,
Here is my timeline:
PD: 11/30/2015
interview scheduled: 6/22/2016
interview date: 7/27/2016
We went to Nework Office on July 27th around 7:00, started interview 8:30. The whole interview was 30min. The IO first asked us all materials what we prepared, such as our health insurance, car insurance, lease, etc. However, my husband and I did not file tax return together, because I asked the accoutance who told me that I cannot file with my husband due to I came in US less than 5 years. (I came into US as F-1 students) . Then the IO asked me why I didn't take my husband's last name. I said I want to keep my own last name. The IO seemed not so happy with our answer. By the way, the IO asked why the utility bill only has my husband name, my husband said when he opened the account they only asked for his name. The IO was not satisfied with my husband answer.
After that the IO asked my husband question like when we first met, where was the location, what we did after our marriage date. All the normal questiones. Then I showed the IO our travel photos and our daily life photos with three dogs. At that time, the IO smiled and said we had three cut dogs. And she said our travel photos were also very funny. After the whole interview. I asked the IO when can I get the decision, she said "you should be approved, but I need to review your meterials."
On 7/28, I130 was approved, but I485 is still no update, showing "interview is scheduled". I am very worried about my i485. I saw most case was approved on spot or the day after their interview. Can someone tell me is this normal in Newark Office ?
