  • Houston Processing Center. I-485 Awaiting Interview

    Hey guys,

I applied in October 2015, although I received RFI and submitted it in a timely manner, by Dec 15 my status states "case is ready to be scheduled for an interview". I checked the processing time for Houston today and they are processing applications for October 15.

Please does any one know the reason for this delay? Is this a common trend for the Houston location.? I am just worried that it is taking forever.

    Thanks

      Thanks Jonathan,

I was worried because I thought due to the fact that this is my second application, maybe it has an effect on my delay. Is this your first I485 application? My lawyer states that it is quite normal in Houston, that there is no certain timeframe to get scheduled for an interview. it can run from 6month to 1 year wait.

      Thanks

You're welcome. I filed my I-485,I-130,I-756 all together to NBC. But for interview they transfer case to local office. PD date 4th-Sep 2015. I got RFE on I-865. They received my response on 17th-Dec 2015 (the last time hear from them). I've been waiting for them to schedule a interview.( Online still show they received RFE response). I think you should not be worried. Mine already long time , so current trying to ask congressional man and senetor to help push the case forward.
