1 year approaching

So we applied for my wife to Adjust Status on August 26th 2015. We had our interview on January 7th 2016. Our filing location was Chicago. We are now approaching 1 year since we filed our application, I have called and filed inquiries on numerous occasions only to be told that our case is still being processed and that we just need to wait. I dont see why our case is taking so long, our interviewing agent was very pleased with all the documents and how our overall interview went. (Originally she told us she would process it that same day) We gave an abundance of proof of our bonafide marriage and all supporting documents were checked thoroughly for accuracy. Fingerprints/Background check/Medical Exam everything was done properly and came back clear and matched. Ive debated about making an infopass appointment, however I had read about people being told the same thing at the appointment and I would rather not take a day off of work to drive an hour and a half to be told that we just need to wait.

Is there anything more we can do? Is writing our congressman the only effective way to wrap this up?

Our patience is growing thin, I feel like we cant move forward until she has the greencard in hand.

Involving your congressman will likely only result in a back and forth with USCIS, but it's your choice. A congressional office can only do so much while dealing with another US govt agency. Could it be that this case been randomly chosen for a "is it a bonafide marriage" check? I vaguely remember that she entered on a B2 tourist visa and is trying to adjust status. Some of these things take as long as they do.

Yes, you're correct Daggit. Weve been fine and patiently waiting and I understand the argument that she entered using the B2 which is frowned up in some(most) eyes. However, the abundance of bonafide material we provided, would satisfy just about anybody. If they still have concerns and questions then we might as well be subject to a polygraph which I would happily oblige too. I think I would be more calm and have some additional patience if I were to know what stage of the approval process theyre stuck on, but sitting here in limbo not knowing what the problem is and why our case is taking longer then the processing times they project is making us shaky. Especially if its information that we can provide to them to satisfy their concerns.

When I call to speak with someone, they refuse to even speak to me yet, Im the petitioner and im the one who completed the paperwork and sent them several thousand dollars. Sorry for ranting.
