I 485 approved but GC not received..Have to travel after 2 days

Hey..Plz help..On Monday my online case status said that my I 485 was approved (including my husband and child) and they will send me approval notice..Today is Wednesday and I haven't received anything yet..I have to travel out of country on friday..I already have Advance parole..Should I have to inform the immigration officer while I come back that my GC is approved but not with me..my lawyer said not to do so unless he asks...I read many posts that say that you must inform to immigration officer and they will stamp on your passport..I am very confused..Plz help and share your experience asap...

We have travelled internationally using my wifes AP card 2 times now, with no issues at all. We always just carry every bit of documentation that we can just in case they ask or make it an issue. WIth the Advanced Parole, there is no "guarantee" that you will gain re-entry so you are taking a risk. However, I havent heard of too many stories of anyone having a problem. Congrats on getting your GC approved, we are still waiting and cant wait to be able to feel whole again.
