I-485: 2 Questions about filling out the Application.

Hello everyone - I have a couple questions regarding the I-485 app. I can't wait on hold for 30 minutes for a CSR so hopefully you can help me.

On page 1, Part 1. Information about you.
Current USCIS Status - What is your status if your I-94 is expired?

On page 2, Part A. Processing Information...
The marital status - Do they need the status when the applicant arrived here in the US or do they need the marital status now? Was single when he arrived, now he is married.

Filing I-485

first on information about you-- if your I94 has expired I will say you are out of status, and you have filed the I-130, therefore you will chose (H) and write in (I-130 petition filed) that will explain your current status, now I do not know your eligibility, it may be (H) if you are married to a US citizen. then you can write in on this question I-130 filed. but you will know best what you are filing under and so you read A B C D E F G, i gave you F to file under based on marriage to a US citizen. As for the status they want to know your status as of now, i hope i was a little help,if there is anything else i can do please keep posting, i did alll my documents myself without a lawyer and got through with no hassle, good luck

In the Status question, I should put "H - I-130 Petition Filed"

I'm not sure I understand the part of A,B,C,D,E,F. I'm pretty new to the terminology too.

Thanks for your help. I'm trying to help my friend with this so he doesn't have to go through a lawyer.
