I am under L1B status with 2 more years remaining. My employer recently suggested to file for H1B and Green Card application at the same time.
1. Is it possible to apply for H1B and Green Card at the same time?
2. The employer is now willing to sponsor my permanent residency but also they want to prepare for two paths (H1B and Green Card) at the same time because they are afraid to have too many applications when my job is posted for PERM case. I was explained that their approach is to prevent the worst scenarios that I can't beat the other applicants up.
3. However I feel like the employer wants to extend my status with H1B for a year first and file the PERM case later when the job market get cool down.
Please share your experience with me whether if it's possible to file H1B and PERM case at the same time.
Thanks.
