trying to understand what the absolute minimum vaccinations are for my elderly mother. not sure she has records of things like MMR etc - does she have to have all those vaccinations? She is 76. If she is in the US, are there inexpensive options for receiving those vaccinations? she will only have travel insurance.

Well, these vaccinations are not covered by health insurance, so the expense is going to be directly out of your pocket.

Assuming she is from India, she can skip the flu and hepatitis shots I believe. At the minimum she may need the MMR, varicella and tet**** shots.

You can call various medical centers to find the cheapest option. Some of the county medical offices may have some of the shots for a lot cheaper, but again she may not be eligible for that if she cannot prove that she resides in that county.

Another option is to get a titus test done, that lists what antibodies your mother already has and can only take the vaccinations for the ones where the antibodies are not present or very weak. But again, you will have to pay for this test, and that will be an expense.

If your mother is here in the US you wil need to make an appointment with a USCIS Civil Surgeon, I'm providing the USCIS link to find 1, https://my.uscis.gov/findadoctor
Be aware that all physicians charge different rates and is also based on her vaccination history. Your mother will definetly have to have a TB Skin test. Also she may have to get a chest XRAY, also she will have to have a blood test and be tested for syphilis and VD, also she will be checked for Hanson's disease AKA leprosy.
She will need the following boosters: TDAP AKA diptheria, MMR aka mumps and rubella so depending on your motheres medical records and vaccination records is how the Doctor will proceed.
My I-693 was $400 for the physician and the boosters, $443 for the lab work and non of it is covered by insurance here in the US
