i-864 employment status

hi yall,

can someone tell me what to fill in for employment ? as it is already September.
do i fill in last tax return info or what do i do for this year ? , hence taxes 2016 are not filed yet.
also if the employment status changed from last year to this year,( for example employed last year., this year unemployed, retired )

i know filling it in as unemployed or below poverty guidelines, i will need a co sponsor.
