New to This - I-485 and I-130 for wife

Sept. 16, 2016 - checks cashed that were sent with I-485 & I-130. Chicago Lockbox
Sept. 19, 2016 - no receipt received or case number assigned yet.

I'm the petitioner, my wife the applicant I-485, I-130, I-864. We used an attorney with 40 years experience.

Hoping application is complete, but has anyone on thread used assets I-864 instead of income? Has it delayed process?
