485 problem

Hi Friends,
I called up USCIC last thursday and and have given my EAC** number for the status and I got a shocking news that he said he couldn't find that number and infact he checked with my last and first name and still couldn't. Then i called again on friday and a lady whom I spoke with said that she cudn't find that and she said no one filed 485 on behalf of you. but when I check the eac number on online status it's showing that 485 has been filed on so and so date.

What cud be the problem? Is there a chance my employer wud have cancelled the process?
Is it possible and if so what can I do? I am still with the same company but do not have EAD and receipt as it is with employer.

Please suggest if any body knows about this.....

if your 485 was filed based on employment, then i would suggest you to contact your employer to make sure he has not withdrown your 140. on the other hand, contact your attorney.

send a letter

You should print out a copy from the online web site and send a letter for a the status of you case to the office you filed the 485. You can find the address on the USCIS.gov sites for all offices.
