My lawyer just submitted my application for AOS, how do I determine my priority date? And what can I expect moving forward?

As soon as NBC AKA "National Benfit Center " accepts your application they will mail you a 797c AKA "Notice of Action" form which will be a receipt for monies deposited and at the the top will be your Date Received: and "PRIORITY DATE". Your priority date determines when your application will begin actual process.
