  • Greencard in 6 months(193 days)-Baltimore field office

    Just posting this to help others who are waiting or gonna wait ,because I know how much stressfull this process is and how much this post will help to people who have filed and who will be filing soon.
    I came on B1-b2 to USA 5 th time since 2006 and last time I came in NOV2013 and changed my status to F1(student)and was on valid F1 until I filed for GC.
    (1)Got married in March 2016 (me and my spouse belongs to the same race,same age,same proffesion,same home country)
    (2)prepared by myself and sent application for AOS I-485,I-130,I-864,I-765,I-131 on 29th March2016
    (3)Received 4 receipts from USCIS with application numbers on 8th April
    (4)Priority date was 4th April and application received date was 4th April and check cashed on 6th April
    (5)Received Biometric appointment letter on 22 April
    (6)Biometric appointment was on 12 th May and got it done on scheduled day
    (7)29th June thought of calling USCIS because its 90 days and I dont have any updates so called and made a service request
    (8)30th June (one day after call)status changed to EAD(work permit) approved and also AP(travel document)approved
    (9)7th July Combo card received with one year validity (status was changed on time on 5th july that card is being mailed to me and on 7th about delivered
    (10)26th Aug received Notice for Interview appointment on 29th September
    (11)Went to Interview on 29th Sep and IO said she has approved I-130 on the spot
    (11)2 hours after interview on 29th sep online status changed to new card is ordered for I-485 and case is approved for 130
    (12)4th October online status changed to new Card is mailed to me
    (13)7th October online status changed to card was Delivered to me with USPS tracking number mentioned in the status
    Received my Greencard on 7th October which has 2 year of expiry date from the interview date

    First of all, Congratulations!!!

    How long was the interview, what type of questions did the officer ask and did they request for you to bring any evidence in on the day of the interview?
