    NYC is slow

Our OD is 1/4. Interview in late July. Have not heard anything from them since.

Called yesterday, the customer service lady said that the NYC office has quite a bit of backlog. Only way to overcome it is to make sure that your paperwork is PERFECT when you go in to the interview, so that there will be no RFEs etc putting your case back to their backlog.

It is clogged in there ... just be patient.

      Thanks NM!

NYC is big, so undoubtedly that would be the case for the delayment of the EAD. We are so anxious as many others are and just wanted to hear from someone in here from NYC that can relate. Again, thanks for responding.

Unbelievable! I just happened to go to USCIS website and saw that the EAD was mailed out November 16th to our old address. We updated our address with USCIS on September 27th, so I can't figure out why they sent it to our old address. I'm gonna have my husband go to our old residence to see if he can recover it. I pray that he can. Please pray for us.

Why did USCIS do this? It's also updated on the website that we changed our address. Unbelievable!!!!

I am so livid. I've even signed up for email notifications & text - nothing. I've even spoken with USCIS to inquire about the EAD card this morning and was told it would take 30 days or less. If I did not bother to go to the USCIS website I would have never known that they mailed it out on the 16th and delivered it to the old address on the 18th which is today. Unfortunately, I don't know any of the neighbors and I'm praying that someone will hold it until tomorrow until my husband gets there.

          Unbelievable!

Update: My husband recovered his EAD at the old residence this morning. Thank God! Now, we can apply for the SS Card.
