Separate I-485 for child as child travels, pls help with advice
Hello, Does anybody had the similar situation, can you please help me with advise? I don't know what to do.

We are a family of 3:
My husband has H1B visa (which is active)
Our 14y.o daughter and myself, both have H4 visas.
On the 12th of August, 2016 we filed I-140 NIW
I would like to concurrently file I-485 now for the whole family, before our I-140 has been approved.
Our 14yo. daughter is planning to study abroad (for 1 semester), starting in January 2017 (for 6 months).
My question is: Is it a bad idea for our daughter to leave US while I-485 is in process? Could this affect our case, as she will be away for a long time and probably she won't be able to come for biometric appointment (not sure yet when we will get it). But also she is just a dependent, does it also matter for dependent?
Would it be better to file I-485 without including our daughter and change her status in the consulate abroad (separately from us) or file i-485 when she comes back here?
