INFOPASS SERVICE NOT AVAILABLE or NO APPT NEEDED? USCIS HOUSTON FIELD OFFICE

Good morning guys
I have been trying to make an info pass but apparently the system is not working

it says : no available appointments for OCTOBER 11, 2016? It doesn't look like it's working.

also I was just wondering if maybe in Houston appt. is not needed ?
last time I went there is saw that people were called with a number like any other public office.

When I went for my infopass appointment, there was a line for people with appointment and those without an appointment. So I guess you can just walk in, get a number and wait for it to be called.
