Our lawyer just filed our 485 together with 601 (we need 601 waiver in our case). However, we just found out that he forgot to attach the application fee to the 601 waiver application!! What a shock. We don't understand how an immigration lawyer can make mistakes like this - we can tell he is not professional and didn't put any effort to prepare and review our case at all.
The lawyer told us that he would mail the check to USCIS once we receive the receipt notice. Our questions are:
1) can he just do it without any RFE from USCIS? How and who will link the check to our application package?
2) will USCIS reject the whole package (including 485 and 601) if no check can be mailed later to them? or just reject the 601 application? Will they send out RFE before they reject the application?
3) can we withdraw the whole application and send another package with everything?
Sorry for so many questions. Still in shock how low the mistake is literally.
