I am a H-1B worker in the green card application process. My spouse was on an H-4. We have both already submitted our I-485 AOS (this was done while she was on H-4). My biometrics appointment is already done; we haven't received anything about hers yet, though the fee has been collected. We are both Canadian citizens. I am on EB-2 ROW category if that matters.
She made a recent international trip, and upon re-entering the US the customs officer for whatever reason wasn't willing to give her H-4. Instead, he insisted on giving her a B2.
Will this affect her application at all? Or is it not a big deal? If it is an issue, what's the procedure to remedy it?
