Renew H1B while green card application is pending?
I'm currently on the 3rd year of H1B. It will expire in May 2017. My family-based green card application is also pending with USCIS. Should I ask my employer to renew my H1B for another three years? I don't want to use the EAD card to start work after May, as I heard once the EAD is used, the H1B status will no longer exist.
