From F1 to GC

Hi all,
Im a F1 visa (full time student). I get married with a USC in May 2016.
PD case : 25 Dec 2016
Bio app : 17 Jan 2017

Do i have to go to school this semester to remain my I-20 and F-1 visa?
If i quit my school, is there any disavandtage for me to interview?

Really? Because people told me that at least I have to remain F1 visa until i get work permit, in the other hand, i will be out of status and i will take a disadvantage when i get interview or I have to wait longer to get interview?

Legally you can stop attending school as soon as your AOS is filed but it is better to remain enrolled just in case your case gets denied, but that does not happen usually.

Maintain status

I will recommend you to talk to your DSO and I'm pretty sure they will advise you to maintain your status. They are right, legally you can quit school and just wait for your interview. However, maintain your status will help you to feel safe and you just never know what is going to happen!
