Hello,
Do we need to submit a 'certificate of translation' for birth certificate if you are submitting - Original and Translated copy of birth certificate ? If so, what information do we need to request the translator to put on the certificate? If you can share sample copy, I would highly appreciate it.

Any thoughts on below question? Will it be Ok, if I reach out to my consulate and ask them to issue me a birth certificate based on my passport? Can I use that document along with my original birth cert (in my native language) for processing i-485?

Hi, you need to submit both translated and untranslated copy. The translated copy should have your name, your parents name and your date of birth and where you were born, all these details
