Accepted in July 2016 Still waiting for an interview

My case was accepted in July 12th.
The website was updated to "ready to schedule an interview" on 10/19.
Just last week I submitted the online inquiry since it has been 6months.
I am located in NC so the Charlotte field office should be the one thats processing my case.
Currently they are processing cases as of May 4th, 16.

Is there anyone here from NC?

Hello Jamon, I'm from Orlando and filed and was accepted 7/5/2016 with a Priority Date of 1/5/2016 and still no word. Did my biomeyrics on 8/6/2016 and all is quiet.

You would think wouldn't take this much just to schedule an interview right?
Ive read some horror stories on this forum about some people not getting interview for almost a year.
I hope yours and mine will not be that case.

My Charlotte, NC Experience (repost)

I filed from Charlotte, NC and they seemed to take their sweet **** time on my application. I'm not sure if it was at the federal level or the local (Charlotte) level, but my case seemed to take an incredibly long time compared to others who have posted timelines.

For background, I'm a Canadian who's been in the US for about 12 years now on every type of visa that exits (F1, OPT, TN, H1B).

08/03/2015 - Applied for AOS Based on Marriage (concurrent filing I-130, I-485, I-765 and I-131). Submitted to Chicago Lockbox.
08/10/2015 - Official notice of receipt (NOA) electronically received - Priority Date
09/03/2015 - Biometric appointment at local Charlotte USCIS Application Support Center (not the official USCIS office.)
10/14/2015 - My EAD and Authorization to travel (I-765 and I-131) were approved.
10/21/2015 - Received the EAD card in the mail.

12/01/2015 - Formal inquiry about case status. I hadn't heard anything on my case and my online case status was still "We received ....".
03/18/2016 - Formal inquiry about case status again. Like in December, the answer I got was: "due to workload factors not related to your case, USCIS anticipates a delay in completing .... "

05/23/2016 - Online case status changed to "Ready to Schedule Interview." Seemingly out of the blue.
06/16/2016 - Received notice in the mail scheduling my interview.
07/19/2016 - I-485 Interview
08/03/2016 - Online status changed to "... case must be reviewed" and then "We approved your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status" and "We ordered your new card."
08/05/2015 - Greencard was mailed.
08/08/2016 - Received Greencard in mail. ... and done!

Dude, that sucks. Im Japanese and been here for 10 years. Sure, I wrecked my Kawasaki twice and got a ticket for speeding once, but hey Im pretty ordinary. No reason for them to withhold the interview. I even smiled on my bio-metric picture taking. My H-1B is still active so I didnt request my work permit. I probably should've done that like you did. Oh well.

Well, they are processing cases from 5/2/2015 as of 11/30/16. So I think it will be soon for you. Maybe a month? We got better than some of the other field office that are still processing cases from 2015....

Since my fingerprints were accepted on September, and in October they were ready to schedule an interview, when should I expect a letter? Also, does that take this longer?

Check the processing time frame with your field office here https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processTimesDisplayInit.do
I called the customer service line and asked them what on earth is taking so long to schedule an interview but some field offices are really back logged.
And it is not just as simple as scheduling an interview. The entire documents will need to be reviewed and analyzed. I know its frustrating but we just have to wait patiently.

Application filed 01/13/2017: Concurrent Filing - I-130, I-485 and I-765
Application received - 01/17/2017
Received E notification - 01/29/2017 for all three application
Online status for I-485 says fingerprint fee was received

Processing time for the Charlotte field office changed from 12/4 to 7/28.
Mine was submitted on 7/12, still no word from USCIS.

The web info has been updated as of today 2/24/17 that my interview is scheduled on March 30th in Charlotte.
Mine case was received by USCIS on 7/12/16.
Took a while but satisfied.
