Silly mistake - Forgot date on my check

Hello All,

I sent my Family Based Adjustment of Status I-485, I-130 concurrent filing packet yesterday. I just realized that I forgot to write the date on my check.

- I am not sure if USCIS will reject my application due to undated check ?
- If not, has anyone sent a correction to lockbox before ?
- Can you actually call USCIS and talk to someone on this ?

Apologies, I am a rookie when it comes to USCIS processes and applications. Any help or guidance would be appreciated. Thank you.

Don't try sending an update to USCIS unless asked. One of three things will happen automatically:

1. USCIS will reject your package and sent it back to you for correction; or
2. USCIS will go ahead and process the check anyway; or
3. USCIS will try to process your check and a staff person further down the line will detect the omission and contact you.

#1 above is most likely. But USCIS can mistakenly continue processing until the error is identified, and they will then bill you for the check amount.
