Pls I am new on this forum I need help with information. My of is Nov 21 approved Dec 7 receipt notice Dec 21, bio Dec 30, update ready to be scheduled for interview on Jan 9 2016. And am on MSC filed i485 i765. Pls I don't really understand how it works but I don't have any update yet but I really need my EAd to enable me get state or driver's license cos I need it in February desperately. I live in Houston I don't know if my lawyer submitted in Houston. Pls I need your advice or if anyone in November 2016 has goten EAd. Thanks pple

When you apply for AOS and you mail your EAD and AP application with it, it all goes to the National Service Center regardless of what city you are residing or applying from. So, you will be getting the approval from there on your EAD and AP (if you applied for either). A way to check this is to see what 3 letters your receipts begins with. If it starts with MSC then its the National Service Center.

From there, they also, mail you your biometrics appointment and schedule it to the nearest biometric place in your area. Your AOS is then transferred to the nearest service center to where you live in, in your case Houston. And from there that is where you go to your interview.

So with this said, i would suggest for you to check the processing time for EAD under the the National Service Center in https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processTimesDisplayInit.do. Currently they are showing that they are processing applications for EAD since September 11, 2016 as of November 30, 2016. I know some people say that if its been 75 days you can go ahead inquire about the status but from it looks like they are a bit behind. So just stay calm and have patience and if at day 90 you don't hear anything call. It never hurts.

did I get it right? You filed your I-485 in October, and you show as of today that the "new card will be produced" without an interview?
