  • Couple of Questions.

    Hi,

I have a couple of questions about I-485:

I had my fingerprints electronicly scanned when I arrived at the airport.
Do I need to pay the $70 biometric fee when filing I-485?

I came to the US on the visa waiver program and married a US citizen.
I have not overstayed and I have not worked in the US. Do I need to submit supplement A for I-485?

Should I go for a medical exam before sending the I-485 or should I wait for them to request it?

I understand that rates can vary but could someone please give me a ballpark figure on how much
it would cost to hire a lawyer to help with this process?

Any help would be extreamly appreciated. Thankyou in advance.

    Question about filing.

you wll still have to do your fingerprints, you do not have to do the suppliment, you have to submit the medical with your papers yes you have the pay the bimetric fee for the fingerprints when filing the I-485 and other forms, as for the lawyer fee depends on the one you retain their fees are different, you do not need a lawyer the forms come with instructions and are very easy to fill, but if you feel that you cannot do it yourself and have a lot of money then get a Lawyer, the fees can run from 3,000 upwards and even more.
