Today i got letter from uscis state we cancelled your interview for form I-485 due to unforeseen circumstances. My priority date is 6 th may 2016 my interview scheduled for 15th February 2017.should schedule the infopass appointment??

I wonder if all of these interview cancellations have anything to do with what's going on with immigration lately?

My interview was schedule for Sept. 6 2016, next day it was cancelled.
I did a infopass, called customer service rep. (they told me to just be patience), did a e-request, contacted local congressman. Last update I had it was last year, my case still background checking. How long it will take?
What should I do?
