This is a long post and I would really appreciate if anyone of you can post your suggestions or solutions.
Last year Jan 2016 we applied for my mom & dad's Green Card. By the end of August my mom got her Greencard but my Dad never got it.
To give a little bit of background -My dad born bought up in India, lived 17 years in Qatar and finally moved back to India in 2014 for good.
Also both my mom and dad have multiple visa entry which is expiring April of this year .(another reason to do their green card)
The first time my dad and mom were called for biometrics, my dad's prints did not come out clearly and he had to revisit 2 times for the same reason ( he is 66 years old)
Finally when both mom n dad went for their interview to get their Visa, Dad was not given his GC but asked to submit police clearance from all the countries he lived in the past 5 years.
Since we were approaching the deadline to submit the paperwork , we just submitted the two police clearance and provided them with information about what QATAR embassy has not given us any paper work.
Dad had to leave to India immediately for a pending surgery , so we applied for his Advanced payroll and as soon as he got it, he left for india hoping that while he is in India , we will hear back from USCIS.
He was able to get one from India and USA but never from QATAR.They said their procedure will take 8 weeks but it is already 20 weeks and then have not responded. These people are extremely rude over the phone and never gave us a correct reason.
We just got to know that his GC was denied(still waiting for an actual paper to see for the reason).
Now my dad is stuck in india , with his visitor visa expiring in March and a denied I-485.
Did anyone else see such a situation ? If so can you please tell me what are our options?
P.S- with the new rules, we are worried if even he will be let into the country before march , so that we could start the whole process over again.
