Still waiting
I'm happy for everyone who has received their Combo cards. I have been following this thread for months because my Wife (the applicant) and I (USC) filed in January. I scheduled our honeymoon for late May, purposely giving more than 120 days from when we filed. Its non refundable and was a significant part of my savings, now it is looking like I will be going alone. I am hopeful it still may happen, as if its approved in the next few days there may still be time to receive the card in the mail before we leave in two weeks. Below is our timeline:
Received Date: 1/17/17
Notice Date: 1/24/17
Last update online: 1/25/17, just stating they received all 4 of our applications on 1/17/17 (765,131,130,485)
Bio taken: 2/17/17 (30 days)
Raised first service request on 765: 4/11/17 (86 days)
Info pass appointment: 5/1/17 - (104 days) - Was told our 485 case was ready to be scheduled and we should receive a date within 30 days. I explained the urgency in getting the combo card because of our honeymoon. She was very helpful and seemed understanding, she raised an expedited service request on the I-131. No response yet.
Contact congressman: 5/4/17 (107 days)
Raised second service request on 765: 5/5/17 (108 days).
Monday 5/8 will be the 111th day
There were no RFE, and the infopass officer said all of the background checks cleared and there was nothing wrong with our case.
The case history online for all 3 of the service requests show it was assigned to an officer, reviewed by officer, response by officer. But when I call the customer service to ask what the response is they said they don't know and that its just an automated message and most likely there really isn't a response. Each time they just say "wait 30 more days".
We are pretty desperate at this point, if the card isn't at least approved by Tuesday its unlikely we will receive it in time for our Honeymoon. We would be happy waiting an additional few months for the GC if it meant going on this trip, I can financially support both of us so the work permit isn't our biggest concern. If we had been told when we filed that it could be more than 90 days I obviously would not have booked our trip this soon or at least booked it within the U.S. At this point the trip is non refundable and there is nothing we can do.
If anyone has any suggestions of what I can do on Monday as a last ditch effort to get this approved I would appreciate it. I already plan on taking the day off and going to infopass again.
Thank you

I-485 Interview notice arrived in the mail
Today I received the I-797C NOA in the mail for the I-485 Interview in Los Angeles for June 7th at 7:15 AM.
It basically gives you a checklist of what to take to the interview with you and other relevant instructions. To be honest I didn't think the offices were even open that early but when I looked it up I guess their hours are from 6AM - 7 PM

A lot of people are getting their combo card and immediately getting an interview date. Maybe that is why there is so much variance in the time frame as it depends on how busy your field office is.
I think there are a lot of factors involved in the process that we obviously don't understand and that has an impact on the processing times. I know it is an often frustrating and anxiety inducing process‚ but really all you can do is just be patient and hope for the best. We did our best to carefully prepare and review our package before sending it. Thankfully we received no RFE's. Each of our forms was placed into it's own envelope and on the outside of each envelope we wrote the form details (I-485 etc...) and wrote down a list indicating everything in that was included in the envelope. Maybe this helped‚*maybe there are factors in our case that caused the EAD approval to be longer than that for some but the interview scheduling to be easier? Thinking about it can drive you nuts as there is really nothing you can do but wait.

When you say you went to the USCIS do you mean you had made an INFOPASS appointment and went to that?

I believe this NOA along with other pieces of information can be used to obtain a state ID / drivers license.
This is from the CA DMV website
Acceptable Documents
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Issued Documents:
Notice of Action (I-797 Approved Petition) indicating 1 of the following:
Approved extension of stay/change in status granting temporary or permanent residency
A card will be mailed to you by USCIS

So, you think that technically you could start looking for a job with just the sheet of paper? My approval date is the same as yours. I am just wondering because I already got job offers. Oh, and btw, I know it depends on a state but I got my state ID without the card.
